“A shared passion for cars was the inspiration behind www.Drivers-Republic.com which was set up last August by a group that includes three former editors of established motoring publications.
The site, which is visited by more than 100,000 people every month, is a digital publication that provides a variety of free content, such as photographs, editorial copy and even videos.
According to Steve Davies, its managing director, revenues are generated for the business through a mix of advertising, sponsorship, marketing support and event management services.
“We bring brands and customers together,” he explains.
“The goal is to add value to all parties so we have to ensure our content is entertaining and will attract readers to the site.””
